oMega Commander

oMega Commander combines convenience of traditional two-pane file managers with the richest set of advanced features wrapped into a modern, fast and reliable multilingual user interface, the coolest among file managers.    Built-in bindings with the rest of the system and internet can make oMega Commander your favorite control center, more than a file manager.

The user interface splits the main window into two navigatable panes, allowing handling of two different folders at the same time. All the basic file and folder operations like copy, move, delete, rename are assigned traditional keyboard shortcuts, sparing you relearning efforts. Advanced operations include, but are not limited to secure deletion, fast file splitting/joining, native handling of archives, bulk renaming, powerful sorting, search, file highlighting, monitoring of folder size or free disk space, access to the command line, and many more.

Ribbons provide quick access to many advanced operations, system functions, websites, other programs, and your own links and commands. Pane tabs allow you putting complex folder structures into order. To help memorizing favorite folders tabs can be labeled and colored your way. Simple keyboard shortcuts allow quick navigation.

oMega Commander can open many popular archive types and move files to/from an archive without need for separate archiver programs. Files can be searched inside archives, even encrypted. Powerful embedded viewer and editor support many textual file formats, like XML or programming languages, and apply syntax highlighting. Encoding of files gets detected automatically or can be quickly corrected.

Customization of content and styles is one of the key stones of oMega Commander. Layout, ribbons, buttons, fonts, color pallets and individual colors of pretty everything can be quickly customized. To help you learn and navigate through the extended set of settings, oMega Commander shows tips and plays funny animations.

For the best performance and smallest possible footprint oMega Commander runs native Windows code. Functionality can be further extended with plugins.
