Marble

Marble is a World Atlas and an earth globe with which you learn a lot about the Earth. You can observe from the distance or zoom and get to see even places or the roads that you want. Furthermore, if you find a tag pointing to a place, with only a click in it, the application will take its proper place in Wikipedia.

The applications of this program are infinities. Do you want to know what is the distance between two points? You can select both points and it will give you quickly. And, moreover, if you want to know how is the time in a concrete place, you only have to consult it.

This application offers you different type of maps, according to the following themes: temperature and precipitation, satellite view, one physical, night and street. It has educational applications which are powerful, and has a guide for the use of each type of map. It cans operating shows you flat maps or planet maps (globe), it is a big different with other application of this type.

It is a multiplatform and can be executed in MS Windows, Mac OSX and Linux/Unix.
