Google Photos PhotoScan

We all have old physical pictures from long time ago and we see how they are being damaged as time goes by. In order to solve this and always keep the memory of these pictures in the best conditions, we can use the app Google Photos PhotoScan .

This app is part of Google Photos suite and it allows us to scan our old photos in just a few seconds, which is better than taking a picture of that picture. We must take into account that the app cannot perform miracles, so we will have to respect the essential rules of photography, which are good light and framing.    

In speite of this, Google Photos PhotoScan can help us in other aspects, such as:
- Getting scanned images without brigtness ans perfect. We just have to put the picture on a flat surface and make us it has good light. Then, we focus the image with the camera of our mobile phone and we follow the instructions on the screen. In a few seconds, we sill have our old picture scanned and saved in our mobile phone, in a folder that the app creates specially for this purpose.
- The app knows where the photo finishes and where the surface underneath this begins, and it performs an automatic cutting.
- It also corrects the perspective of a rectangular image and makes smart rotations of the images so that the picture takes the most correct position .
- If, in spite of all this, you do not like the result, you just have to undo the changes and start again.
