On one side, Microsoft tries to include again in the version of Windows 8, a start menu according to the users needs and, on the other side, we have some proograms that give Windows 8, the appearance and the functionality of the older version of it. However, we also have a third way: GiMeSpace, which offers users something better. A simple and faster app launcher. This is an app really practical designed as the best alternative to the task manager of Windows.

It offers users a better way tp manage the windows that are open, which allows a fast change between them with only pressing the function key, which users will be able to configurate, or with the mouse.

In the control panel of the app, you will be able to choose which is going to be the key for fast access that you want to use when you want the menu to appear. Inside the configuration margin, besides choosing the keys of functions, you will also be able to choose the number of columns that are going to be displayed, which means a bigger or smaller app of icons to your fingertip so you can launch easily all the apps you have.

The application has two parts. The upper part shows running tasks and, at the bottom, it shows the items that can be added and run: programs, files, shortcuts, etc..

While the Control Panel of the shortcut menu is displayed, you can drag items to the bottom of the quick menu and sort them in the order you want. You can remove items by right clicking on them. Also, when you have added all of your favorite icons and everything you need, you will notice that you will almost never use the normal start menu, as the customized one is going to be the best and fastest to use.
