These permissions are quite common in all the apps that are installed in mobilephones: access to the communication network to allow the connection of the app through the Internet and to have a link to the contents of the channel. Permission to access to the system tools to avoid the stand-by when the app is playing some content and permission to access to phone calls. This permission is used to give access to the incoming calls in your mobile phone while you are reproducing some content of the BBC.
